Activities

The Band had seven members who were accepted in the Honor Band and six members marched in Rose Parde.  Bob Smith and Anthony Vega won awards for their ability to work with wood. Tim Neumann was designated a "Commended Student" in the 1987 National Merit Scholarship Program. Lana Martinez was selected to represent California in the International Baton Copeition.  Greg Clark was presented "Outstanding Youth" by the El Monte Union High School Distric Board of Trustees.
